DALLAS – Nine attorneys from Gruber Johansen Hail Shank LLP are being recognized on the select 2017 Texas Rising Stars list, which honors the state’s leading young lawyers.
No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the Lone Star State are chosen each year for this recognition. To be eligible for consideration, attorneys must be 40 or younger or in practice for less than 10 years.
Firm partners Trey H. Crawford and Dave Wishnew were each selected for their work in business litigation. In addition, they were recognized among the “Up-and-Coming 100,” a designation reserved for the highest ranking among all Rising Star honorees.
“For Trey and Dave to be chosen among the best of the best is a nod to their dedication and talent,” says name partner Mark L. Johansen. “We’re very proud of our young attorneys’ commitment to their profession and their community.”
Associates recognized for their work in business litigation include Priya A. Bhaskar, Laura M. Fontaine, Chelsea L. Hilliard, Brian E. Mason, and Rafael C. Rodriquez. Firm associate Hayley Ellison was selected for her work in civil litigation defense. Associate Jason T. Weber earned a place on the list for his representation of clients in employment and labor matters.
All the firm’s honorees are active participants in the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and Dallas Bar Association, in addition to serving as volunteers for a variety of worthwhile groups, including the Vickery Meadow Learning Center, Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, Dallas Museum of Art, North Texas Food Bank, Brother Bill’s Helping Hand, Food for Thought, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The Texas Rising Stars selection is based on professional nominations and evaluations, combined with independent research by the staff of Thomson Reuters. The list is published in the April 2017 Texas edition of Super Lawyers magazine and Texas Monthly, and individual honorees are listed online at www.superlawyers.com.
